Romans Orthopedic Appt

Today was Romans' Appt. Thankfully it isnt his bone that is bad, otherwise he would need 2-3 surgeries!! YIKES!!! But what happened is that he was sooo big and squished in utero that his foot just kind of got stuck that way. The muscle is just really tight, so we have to massage it daily and stretch it all out. The Dr. wants to see him in 4 weeks to see how loose the muscle is getting. If its still stiff, we may have to cast it, but she seemed to think his foot was going to be okay. Nothing seriously wrong with my angel baby, thank goodness. I will tell you how pleased I am with Tricare. I know they arent perfect, but they really have been great for the past 18 years with the kids and anything wrong with them. I have yet to have anything major having to deal wtih them.

Today is our nephew, Daniels' 18th Birthday. We all really miss him. I cant believe he has been gone for 2 years. My sister-in-law is sick today too, which I am sure doesnt help in dealing with the emotions of the day. We just called her and I am thinking she has strep throat, she is contacting her Dr. tomorrow.

So, for Mr. Daniel we, your Auntie, Uncle, and cousins, Nicholas, Ashlee, Cassidy, Anthony, Dominic, and BeBe Roman want you to know we LOVE YOU, MISS YOU and hope that you are celebrating your 18th birthday with those that love you and left this world as well..

Aww, look how big he is getting. I cannot believe this is my baby.. He is getting HUGE.. Today he and Dominic went to playgroup and had a fun time. Dominic played with the hula hoops, and scooter, and of course his favorite thing, the Balls. I met some other moms which was nice. And Roman got to play with some other Babies. He had his X-Rays done, just waiting to go to the Ortho next week, along with the Opthamolagist. So, hopefully these things will just be minor. Sal, Tony, Cass and Dom went to the Cardinals game tonight. Nick and ASh had to work, and Its too humid for me and the baby, So I am enjoying a quiet evening and will do some laundry and clean up a bit in silence, LOL..

2 Month Well Baby

Mr. Romanov had his 2 month well baby yesterday.. He is 13lbs 11ozs He is 23.5 inches long. He is in the 80% of his weight and 55th of his height, I believe she said.. He does have a couple minor problems. His left eye is smaller than the right one and the right one seems to be straining. So off the eye dr he goes, next week. His left foot toes in and his right foot goes WAYYYY out and up... its like his toes want to point toward the sky. He also will not put alot of weight on that leg. I never really noticed about the weight part, because we dont usually stand him up. So he is going to the Ortho at the end of the month. Sal will be on leave, so he can go with us to that appt. The Dr. thinks that possibly he may need glasses and maybe a cast on the right foot. She was pretty concerned and she isnt one to freak out about things. But other than that he is on target with everything.

2 months old

Look at me!! I am now just a couple days shy of 2 months old!!! I go for my 2 month well baby check up on Tuesday. I am getting SOOOO BIG!! Mommy thinks she gave birth to a 2 month old, and that I am already bigger than the other kids were at this age.

  • Lift my head up
  • move my head and look for mommy
  • I can socially smile
  • I started cooing and making all kinds of talking sounds
  • I am sleeping for about 5-6 hours at a stretch at night
  • I can follow toys
  • Im still nursing like a champ
  • I wear size 2 diapers
  • I can find my thumb and finger when Im sleeping
  • I still dont like my carseat all that much
  • I like my brother Dominic talking to me all day and always wanting to GIB BEBE kee (which apparantly means, give baby a kiss)
  • some of the names they call me are, RoRo, Romy, Romanov, MooMoo, (my brother Nick calls me fatty mcfat fat, but mommy doesnt like that one)
  • I dont like being cold, or wet
  • I love the bath, have yet to cry while taking one
  • I dont like the shower too much

Well, I am growing and very happy. This family I have been entrusted too are a little loony, but they love me and tell me all the time that they cant imagine me not being here and they love to kiss me all the time.. I get slimed all day by my big brother Dom, ECK, but oh well, he loves me...

Our trip to St. Louis was fun. All of the kids couldnt go with us, but we had a good time anyway. We went to Union Station and Red Robin and then went to the Hill to visit some family. At Union Station we played Glow in the Dark Putt Putt Golf, that was interesting, LOL.. We also of course did some shopping while in the big city. Mommy got a baseball purse and the babies got some much needed winter clothes. The picture of the Headstone is my husbands Great Grandparents. They are from Sicily. They have a Beautiful headstone that was brought over from Italy.
