How much fun am I having? I think we know what Dominic is getting for Christmas... A big box... He played with this for over an hour. I cant believe he is almost 2. He is sleeping in his big boy bed now too. 2 nights in a row, even. He is also saying mini sentences, for example: Mine Juice, thank you mama, me go, juice please. There are more, but you get the point, LOL. They grow up so fast, too fast if you ask me. Dominic is being such a great big brother to Roman and Roman thinks Dominic is the bees knees :) Its going to be Halloweenie soon and I cannot wait to dress them up. Dominic is going to be, drum roll.........ELMO and Roman is going to be the CUTEST lil' pumpkin EVER.

In other news, Sal has started his 2nd Cycle of being an SGL for ANCOC, so the hours are crappy again. Its funny now that his career is winding down in the Army he has almost the same hours as when he was a PVT in the MP CORPS, LOL.. I guess things come full circle. I was struggling with the thought of him retiring, but honestly I think I am ready, well not quite, but ready as Ill ever be. Ill miss it, miss the spouses, miss belonging to what can be a wonderful life. It afforded us many oppurtunities we would NEVER have been able to do. But it indeed is a new Army and "we" are too old school for the new Army. But as 1 is making his decent on this journey our son will be just beginning his. I know he will do his best and make himself and his father proud, but I fear very much for him, as any mother would. Nick starts basketball next week, well tryouts are next week and he is getting excited. Ashlee is working and saving for when she gets her car, VERY SOON!!! and Cassidy is enjoying her friends and loves to go to every game and function the school has. Anthony has started wrestling and is LOVING it.. He comes home SOOOO tired, he takes a shower, eats and zonkes out, EXCEPT when the CARDINALS are kicking some butt in the World Series.. Me, Im just taking care of the family and the home. I did have a great day on Saturday. A friend and I went HUGE mommy only shopping trip and dinner. I really needed that :) And I shopped until I DROPPED...

I havnt updated in several days so, here goes. Today Sal picks up his 2nd class of ANCOC, so thus starts the long hours for him, poor guy. He went to the Dr. Last week and his labs came back and his cholesterol is good, he is still waiting to find out about the arthritis. Today he has a podiatrist appt. to see if his arches are falling and if that is the reason for his lower back and hip pain.. Running miles everyday for 18 years wears on you after a while.. The kids are all doing great. School is going well and everyone is getting good grades and working very hard. Nicholas had his basketball physical and tryouts are in about 10 days, so he is looking forward to that. His last season playing highschool basketball. I think he is going to be sad his last game. Time is ticking for his highschool years, LOL.. then he will go for the biggest challenge of his life, the Army. Ill talk about how I feel about that another day because it makes me cry just typing that sentence. Ashlee is doing well. She and her boyfriend are still in love and none of us know how they feel, LOL.. She is hanging around friends more, so that is good. She is also working alot and hopes to do a sport this spring, or coach little kiddos for cheerleading. She is also talking about going through a nursing program at school and then continuing that after she graduates, but she changes her mind weekly, LOL.. Cassidy is good. She is just having fun as a Freshman and having a blast with her friends, and doing the teenage girl things. She is really looking forward to going to the Winter Ball with her friends. Anthony has decided to wrestle for school so today is his physical for that. Poor kid is going to be EXHAUSTED, practices are DAILY, MONDAY through FRIDAY.. It is the 1st time he has wanted to play ANYTHING except baseball. Dominic is good, he can count to 10 and sing his ABC's with help. He is a little sponge I swear. He has discovered that he likes oatmeal and that seems to be his favorite food at the moment, LOL.. He is going to be ELMO for Halloween and can say "TRICK or TREAT" or has he prounounces it, "TI TEE" I love this age... Roman, well he is just a dream baby. We really have been lucky with our babies, all healthy, good, easy going and he isnt any different. He just loves to smile and eat, thats about it, LOL.. and if he cant get his food fast enough, he will just patiently suck his thumb until he gets it. He goes in spurts as to trying a bottle. Somedays he will try it, others he just has nothing to do with it, LOL.. He loves the mama and bottles just wont do. I am good, I go to my Dr. appt (yes, I held off this long) But they caught me, LOL.. I am going to see about having some blood work done because I think my hormones or something are out of wack. Im losing more hair than normal, my joints hurt and Im tired, not exhausted just tired. Im stuck in a weight loss rut, LOL I need to get moving. Im giving myself goals of 10-15 lbs a month and going from there. Well, thats about it from this part of the world. The fall is here and we are loving it. Its my favorite time of the year and I hope everyone else takes the time to enjoy it :)

13
Today Mr. Anthony Giancarlo turns 13. I am the mother of 4 teenagers now!! 13 years ago today I was in the Hospital at Luke Air Force Base in Arizona. I was in labor for about 4 hours and then at 1149am he was born. My sister Ronni was in the delivery room with me because Sal was in Germany, soon to be on his way back home to us. My labor was fairly simple and actually the LEAST painfull of all 6. I had a great midwife named, Maj. Mullholland. She has since retired and has been on "A Baby Story" 2 times. She is a wonderful, wonderful midwife. She along with my sister made me feel like I was the only person to have ever given birth. They were encouraging and sympathetic when the pain had its moments of unbearable. Anthony was born several weeks early. He was due on Halloween. He weighed in at 8lbs 11ozs and 19 inches long. Everyone thought he was the most gorgeous baby ever. He had olive skin and a shock of black hair, LOL.. he was a cutie and actually still is a little heart breaker. Today at 13, he stands nearly 5ft tall, and 90 lbs. He still has moments of kicking and screaming , LOL.. He has been a fun little guy in our lives. He is very comedic. He is in LOVE with baseball and so far that is his only true love. He likes hanging out with his best friend Nic and they like to 4-wheel and paintball and anything else that requires getting dirty, smelly and no girls involved. Today for dinner he has chosen Roasted Salty Ribs, mashed potatoes, chocolate cake and frosting.

Look at that mug!! Today Roman is officially 3 months old!!!!! He can now also roll over from tummy to back, which annoys him in his sleep and then mommy has to wake up and roll him back over :) He also likes the sound of his own voice and LOVES, LOVES, LOVES to screach. He is quite a character already, but quite a sweet pea as well. He too easy a baby, for that I am most thankful for.

Newest Member of the Catholic Church

Here is our sweety, Roman Gianmarco. On September 30, 2006 he became a member of the Catholic Church. He did such a great job and didnt even make a peep, he actually had to be woken up from mass to have his Baptism. Fr. Made it very special and Roman loved looking and smiling at him. The church had a special prayer for Sal and I. It was a nice day.
