13

Today Mr. Anthony Giancarlo turns 13. I am the mother of 4 teenagers now!! 13 years ago today I was in the Hospital at Luke Air Force Base in Arizona. I was in labor for about 4 hours and then at 1149am he was born. My sister Ronni was in the delivery room with me because Sal was in Germany, soon to be on his way back home to us. My labor was fairly simple and actually the LEAST painfull of all 6. I had a great midwife named, Maj. Mullholland. She has since retired and has been on "A Baby Story" 2 times. She is a wonderful, wonderful midwife. She along with my sister made me feel like I was the only person to have ever given birth. They were encouraging and sympathetic when the pain had its moments of unbearable. Anthony was born several weeks early. He was due on Halloween. He weighed in at 8lbs 11ozs and 19 inches long. Everyone thought he was the most gorgeous baby ever. He had olive skin and a shock of black hair, LOL.. he was a cutie and actually still is a little heart breaker. Today at 13, he stands nearly 5ft tall, and 90 lbs. He still has moments of kicking and screaming , LOL.. He has been a fun little guy in our lives. He is very comedic. He is in LOVE with baseball and so far that is his only true love. He likes hanging out with his best friend Nic and they like to 4-wheel and paintball and anything else that requires getting dirty, smelly and no girls involved. Today for dinner he has chosen Roasted Salty Ribs, mashed potatoes, chocolate cake and frosting.
